About this tool

The Unified Tenant Configuration Management (UTCM) tool enables configuration snapshot capture and drift detection for Microsoft 365 tenants. Create point-in-time snapshots and compare against baselines to detect unauthorized changes. Currently in preview, UTCM provides the foundation for configuration-as-code workflows and change management processes. Monitor your tenant configuration and receive alerts when drift is detected. Future capabilities include automated remediation and integration with change management workflows.

Limitations & out-of-scope

UTCM - Unified Tenant Configuration Management: Acts on the selected objects only; no tenant-wide bulk operations run without an explicit operator confirmation. Hard-coded Microsoft policy limits (group nesting depth, max delegated mailboxes per user) are surfaced as warnings, not overridden.
