How does gtools.pro compare to CIPP?

CIPP and gtools.pro solve different problems — use both. CIPP is free M365 administration (users, standards, monitoring) for MSPs with CSP/GDAP relationships, running in your own Azure subscription with no client data processed. gtools.pro is data operations: backup, migration, 25 audit reports, and 8 config-export workloads. Complementary stack, not competing tools. Use CIPP for admin and standards; use gtools.pro for client data work.

Does my clients’ data pass through gtools.pro servers?

Desktop edition: no. Backup, migration, audit exports, and config snapshots all run locally; data downloads to your storage. We are not a data processor under GDPR for your clients’ data — you remain sole data controller. Cloud edition: orchestration only; payload is ciphertext.

Do I need to be a Microsoft CSP partner?

No. gtools.pro supports GDAP delegated admin, admin consent via your own app registration, client-provided app credentials, or direct global admin consent. CIPP, by contrast, requires CSP and GDAP for multi-tenant mode.

What is the MSP pricing model?

The Everything SKU is the MSP-fit tier — all 49 tools, EUR 2,490 / tenant / year, billed annually and priced per tenant (not per seat), so user growth at your clients never changes the math. Move migrations are billed once per project (one-time), never per month. There is no per-seat MSP discount ladder; for multi-tenant estates, contact us with your tenant count for current pricing.

Can I white-label gtools.pro for client deliverables?

Not in the current release. Audit exports and backup output are operator-facing rather than client-facing today. Feature requests welcomed at hello@gtools.pro.

Does gtools.pro integrate with my RMM (NinjaOne, N-able, ConnectWise)?

Not in the current release. gtools.pro ships as a standalone desktop application; programmatic and scripting workflows are available via the Graph-side API. Native RMM integration is on the roadmap.

Is there a CSP partner discount?

Not currently. The authentication model (GDAP vs direct consent vs admin-consented app) doesn’t change SKU pricing — the work the tool does is identical regardless of how it authenticates.

How does gtools.pro pricing protect MSP margin?

Two ways. Everything is a flat per-tenant rate (€2,490 / tenant / year) — not per-seat, so headcount growth at your clients never erodes your margin, and there is no per-user metering to reconcile at renewal. Move migrations are one-time per project (€9 / migrated seat, €450 floor; checkout opens soon) — you pay once for the project, and what you charge the client on top is entirely yours. Several incumbent MSP platforms bill per protected user per month, which scales their invoice with your clients’ growth instead of yours.

Does AI-assistant discoverability matter when evaluating MSP tooling vendors?

Increasingly, yes — AI assistants answer tooling questions from vendors’ machine-readable surfaces (llms.txt, structured data). Verified as of 2026-07-24: Datto’s llms.txt is live but roughly 94% of its internal links point to a broken staging host (dattostg.wpengine.com); Hornetsecurity’s llms.txt redirects to its homepage and its robots.txt returns 404. gtools.pro maintains a working llms.txt and llms-full.txt with per-tool detail, so what an AI assistant relays about it comes from maintained, current content.

How does this compare to Datto SaaS Protection or Hornetsecurity for client backup?

Datto and Hornetsecurity are cloud platforms — client backup data lives in their infrastructure, making them data processors under GDPR (DPA and sub-processor disclosure required, especially for DACH/EU clients). gtools.pro Desktop eliminates that obligation by keeping backup data on your workstation or your storage. We also cover migration, audit and config export — Datto and Hornetsecurity do not.

MSP limitations — what GTools.pro is not for

GTools.pro is a per-tenant operator toolkit. MSPs run it alongside their RMM and PSA — it does not replace those layers. There is no multi-tenant dashboard that aggregates findings across customer tenants; each tenant is its own session, with its own vault, its own OAuth consent, and its own export envelope.

The Desktop edition is the recommended MSP form factor (operator workstation only, no shared GTools.pro server). The annual SKUs are priced per user or per tenant per year at one published rate, and migrations are billed once per project — see gtools.pro/pricing for the current rate card.

Tenant secrets stay on your disk. We never store, log, or read them. Our server only sees billing metadata.
